Democrats Must Condemn Protest that Crosses a Dangerous Line

A new report is highlighting that Democrats are planning and promoting a protest at the home of Congressman Derrick Van Orden who earlier this year received credible threats to his family. 

One individual promoting the protest said “we’re also going to do a little walk, two blocks down to the other side of Van Orden’s house whether he’s there or not, having a little rally.”

This statement was made at a fundraiser with Democrat Rebecca Cooke in attendance.

This type of action following threats against Congressman Van Orden’s family paired with the rise of political violence is unacceptable and dangerous. 

Democrats Rebecca Cooke, Emily Berge, and Laura Benjamin must immediately condemn this dangerous action. To remain silent is to condone it, empowering further violence.
