NRCC Chairman Hudson Condemns California’s Partisan Power Grab

NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson (R-NC) issued the following statement on California’s partisan power grab:

“Instead of fixing the homelessness, crime, drug, and cost crises crushing the Golden State, Gavin Newsom is tearing up California’s Constitution to advance his presidential ambitions. The maps weren’t drawn in public view, they were cooked up behind closed doors in Washington, and the sudden adjustments made this week expose the truth: this was never about another state, it was about cementing Democrat power. Californians see through Newsom’s stunt, and they won’t allow a self-serving politician to rig the system for his own career. The NRCC is ready to meet this illegal power grab head-on, in court and at the ballot box, and stop Newsom in his tracks.”
