488 Days. Zero Leadership. Thanks, McDonald Rivet

September 2, 2025

After 200+ days of more than 270,000 Michiganders left without representation because of self-serving Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet, Governor Whitmer announced that the Special Election for the 35th District seat in the state Senate won’t be held until May of next year.

That means Michiganders in Bay, Midland, and Saginaw counties will be forced to go without representation for a total of 488 days.

Throughout this entire process, self-serving Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet has remained SILENT and even went as far as to run into oncoming traffic to avoid being asked about the fact that her constituents had no representation in the state Senate.

“488 days of no representation for Michiganders and nothing but crickets from self-serving Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet. Michigan voters will remember her silence.” – NRCC spokesman Zach Bannon
