REMINDER: Paige Cognetti Knowingly Appointed a Dangerous Criminal to City Government

On September 20, political opportunist Paige Cognetti’s handpicked appointee to Scranton’s Human Relations Commission caused a citywide lockdown after acting threateningly at a school. The incident itself is shocking, but followup reporting uncovered the true story: Cognetti appointed Villa while he was facing criminal charges for driving under the influence of alcohol with his five-month-old son in the car.

When asked to comment about her appointment of someone who thinks it’s ok to drive under the influence with an infant in the car, Cognetti refused to answer for her actions.
