Out-of-touch Democrat Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen’s shutdown has forced federal food-safety inspectors to scale back operations, risking contamination, product delays, and uncertainty for families who just want to put safe food on the table. While Republicans are working to reopen the government responsibly, Democrats are putting kitchen tables at risk to score political points.
