FEMA grants stalled, first responders stranded: Suozzi & Gillen are to blame

On National First Responders Day, Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen are paying lip service to our heroes while their shutdown hurts the very people who protect our communities. Because of Suozzi and Gillen’s shutdown, FEMA grants for fire, EMS, and emergency preparedness are delayed, and local departments are being forced to stretch their budgets just to keep serving families.
