NRCC Calls Moskowitz and Soto Frauds for not Calling on Cherfilus-McCormick to Quit

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) is focusing its efforts on two congressional races in Florida that they feel could be in play in the 2026 Midterm elections—the districts of Reps. Jared Moskowitz and Darren Soto.

With Rep. Sheila Cherfilus-McCormick having been indicted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) for allegedly stealing $5 million in Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) funds, as well as making illegal campaign contributions, the NRCC is now targeting both Reps. Moskowitz and Soto for not calling on their colleague to resign from the U.S. House of Representatives.

In similar press releases, the NRCC stated that both Democratic members have “stayed radio silent” on the matter and called on them both to “do the right thing” and ask Rep. Cherfilus-McCormick to resign.
