Suozzi and Gillen Vote Against Affordable Healthcare

December 17, 2025

Out of touch Democrats Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen just turned their backs on New Yorkers, voting against commonsense reforms to make healthcare affordable for working families.

At a time when New Yorkers are being crushed by rising premiums, higher prescription drug costs, and fewer provider options, Suozzi and Gillen chose politics over patients. They voted against a solution that would lower costs, expand access to care, and give families more flexibility with their health care decisions.

“New Yorkers deserve access to affordable and accessible health care, instead of empty promises and partisan games from radical Democrats. Out of touch Tom Suozzi and Laura Gillen had the chance to support commonsense reforms that put patients first, and once again chose the D.C. status quo over the people they are supposed to represent.” — NRCC Spokeswoman Maureen O’Toole
