Nellie Pou Rejects Millions for Rural Healthcare in New Jersey

January 16, 2026

Today, President Trump highlighted the rural healthcare fund that Republicans established for the American people. New Jersey is set to receive nearly $150 million in critical funding to keep rural hospitals open, expand access to care, and ensure families aren’t forced to travel hours for basic medical services.

Vulnerable Democrat Nellie Pou voted against this funding, endangering rural hospitals in New Jersey and across the country.

“Nellie Pou’s vote against critical healthcare funding for New Jersey communities is a slap in the face to New Jerseyans who continue to be ignored by Democrats. While Republicans deliver results, Pou continues to play partisan political games.” – NRCC Spokesman Maureen O’Toole
