Last night, the U.S. House of Representatives passed Representative Juan Ciscomani’s bipartisan legislation bringing Southeastern Arizona another step closer to establishing a new National Park.

Ciscomani’s legislation will help boost tourism, create jobs and grow the local economy. It redesignates Cochise County’s iconic Chiricahua National Monument as a 12,000-acre national park, making it Arizona’s fourth national park and protecting one of southeastern Arizona’s natural treasures.

“Representative Juan Ciscomani once again delivered another local win that will help Arizonans live, work and enjoy the outdoors. His relentless focus on Arizona priorities has made Representative Ciscomani the most-effective and most-bipartisan Member of Congress from Arizona.” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
