Lying Landsman Finally Tells Truth: Dems to Blame for DHS Shutdown

A Democratic Ohio congressman has admitted that funding for the Department of Homeland Security is “being held up by Democrats in the Senate,” even though he has repeatedly voted to hold DHS funding hostage.

The U.S. House voted Jan. 22 to advance H.R. 7147, a DHS funding measure, but it stalled in the U.S. Senate. The House voted a second time earlier this month to advance the funding plan, sending it to the Senate again.

Amid the Democrat-led shutdown, the feds said more than 100,000 workers at FEMA, TSA, CISA, and the Coast Guard are working without pay. The TSA said that more than 300 of its employees have quit rather than work without pay. However, in the clip, Landsman said that “DHS has enough money.”

On Friday, tens of thousands of TSA agents missed their first full paycheck, and travelers nationwide are blaming the partial federal government shutdown for causing travel chaos, including hours-long airport security lines. Meanwhile, the country has witnessed a series of terrorist attacks, including in Michigan, New York, Texas, and Virginia.
