House passes Juan Ciscomani’s bill to pay TSA, Homeland Security workers

March 27, 2026

The U.S. House of Representatives yesterday passed Representative Juan Ciscomani’s Pay Our Homeland Defenders Act.

Ciscomani’s legislation would end the extreme Democrats’ unconscionable shutdown, which is ripping away paychecks from TSA, Border Patrol, Coast Guard, FEMA and Secret Service officers.

Because Democrats defunded Homeland Security as terrorist threats skyrocket, more than 450 TSA agents have quit and airport lines stretch for hours.

“While extremist Democrats keep on defunding the police, it’s reassuring to see leaders like Representative Juan Ciscomani standing up for everyday Arizonans. Representative Ciscomani showed again he’ll always put Arizona’s safety and security first.” – NRCC Spokesperson Ben Petersen
