Things Have Gone From Bad to Worse for Dems in ME-02

Graham Platner-loving freak Matt Dunlap knocked off national Dems’ handpicked candidate in ME-02, and things have gone from bad to worse ever since.

First, analysts and House Democrats themselves conceded that the seat was likely lost.

Then yesterday, over four days after the primary was called, the DCCC issued a congratulatory statement and insisted Dunlap has proven he can win, since he’s “won statewide office twice as Secretary of State and now serves as State Auditor.” The problem? Neither of those are elected positions… 

And don’t forget, polling shows Dunlap is losing to Paul LePage by double digits.
