Henry Cuellar’s $238,000 Mystery
Self-serving Henry Cuellar has spent years treating public office like his personal piggy bank, and now nearly a quarter-million dollars has mysteriously appeared in his campaign with no clear explanation.
A new complaint filed today calls for a congressional investigation after Cuellar claimed he loaned his campaign $238,000 of his own money, even though his financial disclosures allegedly show no bank accounts, no asset sale or retirement withdrawal, and nowhere near enough income to explain where the cash came from.
“Self-serving Henry Cuellar has treated public office like a personal grift, enriching himself while South Texans are left paying the price. Cuellar is a scandal-soaked career politician whose excuses never hold up, whose stories never add up, and whose only loyalty has always been to himself.” – NRCC Spokesman Christian Martinez
