NRCC Chairman Hudson Statement on WI-07

WASHINGTON, D.C. —NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson (R-NC) released the following statement on Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District primary election:

“President Trump-endorsed Michael Alfonso is an America First conservative who will always fight for hardworking Wisconsinites. Alfonso is poised for a big victory this fall, and in Congress, he will never back down from the radical far left while standing up for northern Wisconsin values and delivering commonsense conservative results.”

BACKGROUND

• WI-07 is one of, if not the most, Republican districts in Wisconsin:
  • Its PVI is R+11, which is tied with WI-05 for the most Republican in the state
  • Trump won the district in 2024 by 22.5%, his highest margin of victory for any district in the state
