NRCC Chairman Hudson Statement on Alaska At-Large

NRCC Chairman Richard Hudson (R-NC) released the following statement on Alaska’s At-Large Congressional District primary election: 

“Congressman Nick Begich is a results-driven leader who helped unlock Alaska’s resources, create jobs, and lower costs for working families, all while ensuring Alaskans have the freedom to chart their own future. Bill Hill would be nothing more than a rubber stamp for the radical far left, putting the priorities of D.C. Democrats ahead of hardworking Alaskans. This fall, Alaskans will reject liberal Bill Hill and re-elect Congressman Nick Begich, who puts Alaska first and continues delivering commonsense conservative wins.”

BACKGROUND

• President Trump won Alaska in 2024 by 13.1%.
• President Trump has increased his vote share every cycle from 51% in 2016 to 53% in 2020, and most recently 55% in 2024.
• In 2024, Rep. Begich unseated incumbent Mary Peltola, leading every round of ranked-choice voting and finishing at 51.22%.
