Phony Vicente Gonzalez Can’t Hide His Trans Record

Out of touch Vicente Gonzalez’s campaign makeover has one problem: his record is public.

Gonzalez’s messaging doesn’t erase the positions he backed for years:

• 2017: Gonzalez called President Trump’s transgender military ban a “tragedy” and a “step back in history.”
• 2021: He cosponsored the Equality Act, which included protections for access to restrooms and locker rooms based on gender identity.
• 2023: He voted to send the Protection of Women and Girls in Sports Act back to committee, then didn’t vote on final passage.
