New House Power Rankings: AL-02 on the Brink of Flipping Red

Shomari Figures is in serious trouble.

Figures’ AL-02 just landed on another list of Democrat seats likely to flip after National Journal ranked it as a top pickup opportunity for the GOP yesterday.

Figures is facing a near-impossible uphill battle. President Trump carried the district he’s running in by 14 points, and Cook rates it Likely Republican. Figures’ hometown is also no longer in the district.

Even though a majority of Alabamians are struggling right now, Figures voted against no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and critical relief for Alabama’s farmers.

Meanwhile, Republican State Representative Rhett Marques is surging.
