NRCC Launches National Energy Tax Ad Blitz against Target Dems
Ads Hit Target Dems for Voting to Increase Energy Costs, Kill Jobs

Washington- The National Republican Congressional Committee announced a new media blitz targeting Democrats nationwide for supporting Nancy Pelosi’s devastating National Energy Tax. According to the Wall Street Journal, Pelosi’s bill amounts to “the biggest tax in American history.” (“The Cap and Tax Fiction”, Wall Street Journal, June 26, 2009)

“Once again Democrats are forcing an extreme agenda of more spending, more taxes, and less jobs,” said NRCC Communications Director Ken Spain. “In the midst of a severe economic recession, Nancy Pelosi and her puppets are inflicting further damage on our economy with a job-killing national energy tax. The time has come for them to start answering to interests of small businesses and middle class families, not the San Francisco Speaker’s personal political agenda.”

The ad blitz began this week during the congressional recess while Democrats will have to answer to their constituents about their support for an energy tax that affects anyone who turns on a light switch and could cost millions of American jobs. The combination of television ads, radio ads, targeted phone calls, and online campaign will target the following members:
