McHugh is Officially Army Secretary

WASHINGTON — Rep. John M. McHugh is officially Secretary McHugh.

President Obama made Mr. McHugh’s transition to Army secretary official this morning, signing the “warrant” that makes his appointment official.

He was sworn in around 11 a.m., said Mr. McHugh’s congressional chief of staff, Robert G. Taub.

Although Mr. Taub was still answering the phone with “Congressman McHugh’s office” this morning, that should quickly change today to “Office of the 23rd Congressional District” as the office comes under the control of the House Clerk’s Office.
