FACT CHECK: McMurray is the anti-Trump
If elected to Congress, Nate McMurray wants voters to think he’ll work with President Trump to get things done for NY-27. Unfortunately for Nate, he can’t erase his long history of extreme anti-Trump rhetoric, including disgusting and personal attacks against the president and his supporters:
- McMurray describes himself as the “anti-Trump”
- McMurray said President Trump is “unfit and dangerous” and would not want to represent NY-27 if it means tolerating him
- McMurray appeared on a radio show where the host called President Trump “a f****** moron,” “mentally retarded,” and accused him of having an addiction to adderall and cocaine
- McMurray called individuals who refuse to vote for him, specifically those who support President Trump, “sinners”
- McMurray has called Trump supports “extremists,” “racist,” and has insinuated they are stupid and xenophobic
Someone should ask Nate why he’s running in an R+11 district that President Trump won by nearly 25 points in 2016…
