JOINT ECONOMIC COMMITTEE REPORT: “High inflation a staple of life in US today”

“High inflation is a staple of life in the United States today,” according to a new study from the United States Congress Joint Economic Committee.

In the East North Central Region: 

Inflation is costing $391 monthly per household
Housing is up 5%
Food is up 8%
Energy is up 24%
Transportation is up 22%
