Add the IRS army, hold the SALT

Katie Porter made SALT relief a pillar of her 2018 campaign. 

Real Clear Politics writes, “During her first campaign for Congress in 2018, Porter repeatedly assailed then-Rep. Mimi Walters…for voting for the Trump tax package that included the new SALT limit.”

But, for the second time in less than a year, Porter has caved on her promise to repeal the SALT cap. 

Not only does the Democrats’ new reckless spending not restore the SALT deduction, experts warn it will fuel inflation, raise taxes, and it increases IRS funding by $80 billion so the agency can hire 87,000 new IRS agents to harass middle class taxpayers.
