Pappas must reject foreign money benefitting his campaign

Chris Pappas says he opposes dark money, but he received support from foreign billionaire Hansjörg Wyss laundered through an opaque web of dark money vehicles.

AP reported today on how Wyss’ foreign dark money network, which paid for TV ads benefitting Chris Pappas, skirts the ban on foreign money in campaigns.

Chris Pappas said dark money “drowns out the voices of everyday Americans.” Yet, Pappas benefitted from Wyss’ foreign influence. 

“Chris Pappas is a liar and a hypocrite bankrolled by a foreign billionaire’s dark money conspiracy. Chris Pappas must reject the foreign dark money used to prop up his political campaign or be complicit in this perversion of the law.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Savannah Viar
