Copying Homework and Hiking Iowan’s Taxes
Radical liberals Jennifer Konfrst and Sarah Trone Garriott are in a full-blown sprint to the left and aren’t afraid to show it. In a desperate bid to win over their far-left base in the Democrat primary, both candidates posted nearly identical attacks on Zach Nunn for blocking a devastating 23% tax hike on hardworking Iowans. Apparently copying homework is the new strategy for Iowa Democrats.
It’s laughable, but not surprising. Konfrst and Trone Garriott have spent their careers siding with big government over Iowa families. If they got their way, their radical tax and spend agenda would make life more expensive for Iowans by:
- Slamming the average family of four with a $1,588 tax hike—enough to wipe out two months of groceries
- Gutting the Child Tax Credit for 84,660 Iowa families who depend on it
- Doubling the Death Tax, putting 13,984 family farms at risk
- Hammering Iowa small businesses with a crushing 43.4% tax hike
“While Iowa families are working harder than ever to make ends meet, Jennifer Konfrst and Sarah Trone Garriott want to hike taxes, kill jobs, and put the American Dream out of reach. Their radical race to the left is leaving Iowa voters in the dust, and voters won’t forgive them for it.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Emily Tuttle
