Reminder: Kristen McDonald Rivet Betrayed Michigan Farmers

Out of touch Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet voted AGAINST critical legislation to support Michigan’s farmers and rural communities. 

McDonald Rivet went on to meet with farmers to discuss the “pressing challenges they face,” even though she helped create those very challenges. The reality is that their biggest problem is Kristen McDonald Rivet who continues to put her radical far-left agenda ahead of the needs of Michigan’s producers, growers, and rural families.

Kristen McDonald Rivet voted AGAINST:

• Strengthening and modernizing crop insurance
• Extending important safety net programs that help protect farmers
• Strengthening biosecurity
• Modernizing outdated land data 

According to American Farm Bureau Federation economists, the legislation McDonald Rivet voted AGAINST “will strengthen the farm safety net and offer longer-term certainty for farmers.”
