Coming Soon: Kristen McDonald Rivet Takes Credit for the Sun Rising

Out of touch Democrat Kristen McDonald Rivet is trying to take credit for a “$5 million federal grant to enhance Riverbank Park in downtown Flint, which is a key part of the new state park.”

The truth:

• The grant money came from The Land and Water Conservation Fund which was permanently reauthorized in the Dingell Act in March 2019.
• President Trump then permanently funded the program at $900 million a year when he signed the Great American Outdoors Act into law in August 2020.

Kristen McDonald Rivet wasn’t even a member of Congress when the funding for the project passed.
