NEW NRCC Battleground Poll: Tom Barrett Has One Big Beautiful Advantage

A new NRCC battleground survey of 46 House districts, including MI-07, shows Congressman Tom Barrett is well positioned to win heading into the 2026 election.

The new polling shows President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill gives Rep. Barrett a decisive messaging advantage, both to highlight wins for working families and to hammer Democrats for opposing them. The survey found voters are more likely to vote for a Republican, like Rep. Barrett, who:

• Voted for the largest middle-class tax cut in generations, worth up to $11,000 per year for a typical family
• Cut taxes for households under $100,000 
• Backed pro-growth policies protecting/creating 7.2M jobs and 1M small business jobs annually
• Protected a 25% increase in Medicaid funding to ensure coverage stays intact
• Cut taxes on tips, overtime, and Social Security
