McDonald Rivet Put Party Politics Ahead of Michigan Families

Government funding runs out today, and it’s all Kristen McDonald Rivet’s fault. Out of touch obstructionist McDonald Rivet put politics over people and voted against legislation to keep the government open. 

McDonald Rivet’s reckless stunt forces Michiganders to face unnecessary uncertainty. A shutdown jeopardizes paychecks for servicemembers, law enforcement, TSA agents, and more. It delays assistance for small businesses, cuts off funding for Head Start, and puts veterans’ services at risk. All because Kristen McDonald Rivet would rather play games than do her job.
