Iowa Democrats have proven time and again they’ll always bow down to their party leadership first. Jennifer Konfrst and Taylor Wettach‘s announcements today are just the latest attempt by party leadership to anoint kings, instead of giving Iowans a voice.

Cycle after cycle, Iowa Democrats play kingmaker, clearing the field to crown whichever candidate is most willing to fall in line with their far-left agenda. Now, they’re trying to strong-arm their way to nominations for two-time loser Christina Bohannan and Sarah Trone Garriott, two Democrats who will do and say whatever their party leadership demands.

“Iowans deserve real leaders, who answer to their communities, not party bosses. That’s why they’ll send Mariannette Miller-Meeks and Zach Nunn back to Congress to keep fighting for working families.” – NRCC Spokeswoman Emily Tuttle
