Out of touch Democrat Vicente Gonzalez is trying to play hero with a meaningless election-year amendment after spending years enabling the chaos that made cartel power explode in the first place.

For years, Gonzalez sat back while the Biden-Harris administration opened the border, overwhelmed communities, and let transnational criminal organizations cash in on human trafficking, fentanyl smuggling, and violence. Now, with voters paying attention, he wants credit for a repetitive stunt that does nothing meaningful to stop the threat.
