Liberal Landsman Rakes in Cash from Pelosi’s California Orbit

April 23, 2026

Greg Landsman received “85.1% of campaign donations from out of state donors in 2026.”

Liberal Landsman, who worked for Nancy Pelosi, raked in more cash from California than from Ohio while cashing in $90k from Pelosi herself.

“Democrat Greg Landsman rakes in cash from California while pushing radical far-left California policies on hardworking Ohioans. Liberal Landsman may be a great fit for Nancy Pelosi’s office but he is too extreme for Ohio.” – NRCC Spokesman Zach Bannon

U.S. Rep. Greg Landsman, D-Ohio, received an overwhelming majority of donations in the first fundraising quarter of 2026 from donors outside Ohio.

The Democratic candidate, who is running for reelection in a district that has flipped Republican, once worked as a communications director for Rep. Nancy Pelosi, D-California, and also has a years-long history of receiving significant funding from out-of-state donors, including his former employer.

The majority of Landman’s campaign money raised in the first quarter of 2026 comes from out-of-state donations, with 85.1% from donors outside Ohio, according to data from the Federal Election Commission. Of those donations, $156,408.84 came from donors in California.

Funding from donors in Ohio made up $113,322.12 of donations to the Democratic congressman’s campaign.

Landsman worked as the deputy communications director for Nancy Pelosi at the beginning of his career in the early 2000s. Landsman said that working for the congresswoman was his first job out of college in an Instagram post after Pelosi announced that she would retire from Congress in January 2027.

“The list of Speaker Pelosi’s accomplishments is far too long for a tweet,” Landsman said in the social post.

Landsman’s campaign committee, Landsman for Congress, and his joint fundraising committee, the Landsman Victory Fund, have received $90,000 from Pelosi since 2022, according to data from the FEC.

The donations were made through both Pelosi’s congressional campaign and PAC to the Future, a political action committee sponsored by the congresswoman.

Landsman also received a majority of donations from outside of the state in 2025, with 29.86% of 2,786 donations recorded by the FEC coming from Ohioans. Donors in California contributed $115,378.11 to Landsman’s reelection campaign funds last year.
