NRCC Statement on Tom Kean Jr. Winning NJ-07 Debate

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) issued the following statement on Tom Kean Jr.’s decisive victory in the 7th Congressional District debate against Rebecca Bennett:

“Rebecca Bennett fell apart tonight. She came unprepared, scrambled for or refused to give answers, and proved she isn’t ready for Congress. And on the issue New Jersey families care about most, she couldn’t run from her record: she called the law that cut their taxes and quadrupled the SALT deduction ‘awful,’ and she would have voted to kill it. In one of the highest-taxed states in America, that’s disqualifying. Tom Kean Jr. delivered real tax relief for the 7th District.
