Welcome to Matt Dunlap’s No Good, Very Bad Week

It’s been a no good, very bad week for Matt Dunlap. 

First, Dunlap doubled down on his completely out of touch vote to raise the gas tax. Then, he was exposed for repeatedly voting for tax hikes and fee increases on Mainers, and he was called out for protecting sexual predators.

And today, he was named one of “The Worst Democratic Candidates of 2026.” 

It’s almost like protecting predators, raising taxes, and embracing a Nazi-lover and alleged rapist isn’t a recipe for a successful campaign…
