NRCC Statement on Congressman Rob Bresnahan Winning PA-08 Debate

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) issued the following statement on Congressman Rob Bresnahan’s victory in the PA-08 debate against political opportunist Paige Cognetti:

“Tonight, Northeast Pennsylvanians saw a strong contrast between Congressman Rob Bresnahan, who highlighted his local roots, broad coalition of organized labor support, and strong record, and political opportunist Paige Cognetti, who pathetically failed to defend her record of making Scranton families’ lives more expensive and less safe. Whether it’s raising taxes to fund DEI positions, fantasizing about taking police officers’ and citizens’ guns, or using her position as mayor to enrich herself and her family, Cognetti has proven she’s unfit for office.
