Merlot, Pinot and Pelosi

May 29, 2015

Remember back when Extreme Emily Cain announced her plans to run for Congress…again?  It was a whopping four months after voters rejected her at the ballot box last November.  In Extreme Emily’s announcement, she said she would employ a “stronger campaign strategy.”   It looks like that strategy includes traveling to Washington for a lavish wine reception fundraiser with a bunch of partisan DC insiders like Nancy Pelosi and DCCC Chairman Ben Ray Luján.

If any extreme PAC’s want to host Extreme Emily’s wine reception, they better be ready to shell out an extreme amount of money — $5,000 to be exact.  And if they want to sponsor it?  That’ll cost $2,500.  Want to go stag?  Be prepared to shell out $500 as a host or $100 if you want to go as a measly patron.

In any event, that must be one extremely tasty glass of cabernet or sauvignon blanc.

NRCC Comment: “Extreme Emily Cain is doubling down on her extreme positions by once again tying herself to the extreme wing of Washington Democrats who are hosting a lavish wine fundraiser for her next month. These extreme allies cost Cain at the ballot box last November, and they will certainly cost her again in November 2016.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack
