Wait, what? Anti-billionaire donor Zephyr Teachout holding fundraiser with billionaire donors

It looks like Zephyr Teachout, longtime advocate of campaign finance reform who criticized the influence of wealthy donors in politics, is having a fundraiser in September hosted by none other than liberal megadonor George Soros’ son, Jonathon Soros.

It’s a hypocritical move by Teachout, who just recently sent out a statement saying, “…people from around the district…are totally frustrated with SuperPAC billionaires drowning out peoples voices.” This is the same Teachout who says she opposes PAC money but then held a fundraiser with Steny Hoyer, who has accepted millions of dollars from PACs and has doled out hundreds of thousands of dollars from his own PAC.

It seems Teachout only cares about campaign finance reform if it doesn’t affect her own campaign coffers.
