Rick Nolan shows how out of touch he is at MN-08 debate

In the first general election debate in Minnesota’s 8th Congressional District, Rick Nolan made it clear that he is going to stay the course with his extreme, far-left agenda.

On a question about Iran, Nolan doubled down on his support for President Obama’s disastrous nuclear deal, calling it “a victory for diplomacy.” That’s right. Nolan is declaring victory even after Secretary John Kerry admitted the deal would fund terrorism, Iran test fired ballistic missiles with “Israel should be wiped off the Earth” written on them, and the Obama administration paid a $1.7 billion cash ransom to the terror-supporting regime.

Nolan also took the opportunity to reiterate his support for Obamacare, and indeed going even further with a complete government takeover of our health care system, saying, “I, quite frankly, do favor a single-payer, universal system.” Yes, even as Minnesota families are bracing for increases in their health care premiums of 50% or more, Rick Nolan is not backing down from his support for Obamacare.

NRCC Comment: “Rick Nolan’s continued support for Obamacare and the Iran nuclear deal, despite mounting evidence that both are disasters for our nation, shows how out-of-step he is with Minnesota voters. The 8th District deserves a Congressman who will look out for their best interests, not Rick Nolan who is only focused on serving his extreme ideology.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
