Anti-dark money Zephyr Teachout endorsed by dark money group

Zephyr Teachout is treating Upstate voters like they are dumb, again. According to Politico New York, Teachout just scored the endorsement of Every Voice – a 501(c)4 dark money group backed by the billionaire Soros Super-PAC family.

So not only does Teachout accept money from the very Super PAC billionaires she tells voters she is crusading against, but she is also accepting dark money from groups funded by anonymous special interest money.

NRCC Comment: “It’s laughable that Zephyr Teachout says she is opposed to special interest money when she’s accepted thousands of dollars from Super-PAC donors and is endorsed by a dark money group. Either Zephyr Teachout is delusional, or she truly thinks that Upstate voters are dumb.” –NRCC Spokesman Chris Pack

What’s the difference between a Super PAC and a Dark Money Group?
“Super PACs must disclose their donors while 501(c)(4)s do not. If you are a donor looking to influence election but do not want to reveal your identity, the 501(c)(4) is an attractive option through which to send your cash.”
