Today at 11:00AM (CT) Jason Lewis and Angie Craig will meet for the second debate in Minnesota’s 2nd Congressional District, broadcast live on Minnesota Public Radio. At the candidates’ first debate on Friday, Angie Craig refused to answer questions about her business background, despite making it the centerpiece of her campaign.

Here are a few questions that Angie Craig owes Minnesotans an answer to today:

  • Did Angie Craig make any effort to stop her company from ripping off veterans before the Department of Justice intervened?
  • When did Angie Craig learn of the serious defects in her company’s product that led to the deaths of patients?
  • When Angie Craig was funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign cash to politicians as head of her company’s PAC, was she already rounding up support for her run for Congress?
  • While she was heading up her company’s PAC, Angie Craig became such a favorite of the political establishment that lobbyists actually appear in campaign ads on her behalf. Will Craig disclose her ties to lobbyists in Minnesota and D.C.?
  • Angie Craig has taken $125,000 in campaign donations from her company, which is seeing record profits because of Obamacare. Is this why she wants to expand Obamacare despite skyrocketing costs for Minnesota families?
  • Angie Craig has refused to tell voters who she would support for Speaker of the House if elected, despite canceling a debate to campaign with Nancy Pelosi. Will she finally come clean?

NRCC Comment: “Angie Craig has centered her campaign around her business background, but refuses to answer questions about scandals that occurred at her company, on her watch. Angie Craig must answer for her company’s history of ripping off veterans, selling dangerous products, and buying influence with campaign cash.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
