Obamacare premium increases in Minnesota for 2017 are among the steepest in the country, skyrocketing by as much as 67%. Gov. Mark Dayton admits Obamacare is “no longer affordable.” Bill Clinton calls it “a crazy system.” And now Rick Nolan is admitting that Obamacare has failed to get costs and premiums under control!

Nolan was quoted by Tom Coombe of the Ely Echo today as saying that Obamacare “did a lot of good things. What it didn’t do was get costs and premiums under control.” Nolan is actually admitting that Obamacare failed in its stated mission of getting costs under control and providing affordable health care to Americans, but he has still refused to back off of his support for the failed law.

NRCC Comment: “While it’s nice that Rick Nolan is finally admitting that Obamacare is a failure, the fact remains that he still supports the law that is causing health care costs in Minnesota to skyrocket. Rick Nolan’s continued support for Obamacare is a slap in the face to Minnesota families who are watching their health care premiums go through the roof because of the failed law.” – NRCC Spokesman Bob Salera
